DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:
General Responsibilities
New Business Development
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across transportation, depot, and warehousing services
Development and implement strategic sales plans aligned to company growth objectives
Client Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
Acts as a key point of contact for high value accounts, ensuring consistent service delivery and satisfaction
Market intelligence and Analysis
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify growth areas
Provide regular feedback to the leadership team on market dynamics and customers insights
Proposal and solution Design
Collaborate with pricing, operations, and solutions teams to design to design and present bespoke client solutions
Prepare compelling proposals, presentations and bids tailored to client needs
Sales and Performance Tracking
Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity and sales performance in CRM systems
REQUIREMENTS
We invite applications from candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:
Qualification/s:
Matric with advanced Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in B2B business development within logistics or supply chain sectors
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and depot services
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to develop customized solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Self-starter with high levels of initiative and drive
Client-centric mindset with the ability to build trust and rapport
Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
