FIXED TERM CONTRACT: 3 MONTHS


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:

Depot Operational and IT Support

  • Provide End User Support to users at regional sites

  • Work in conjunction with IT Manager to ensure environment is well supported and maintains operational uptime

  • Maintaining IT asset registers

  • Handling calls on the IT Helpdesk

  • Monitoring of Hardware Equipment Age and software licenses

  • Setting up of Desktops and Laptops

  • Travelling to sites when there is an issue that cannot be handled remotely

  • Warehouse and Depot mobile device management

  • Troubleshooting and fixing hardware and software issues

  • Setting Up Users on Office 365

  • Setting Up Users on one drive

Quality and continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities that benchmark best practices and discuss with IT Manager

  • Assist in development and documentation of uniform IT processes across all the depots, nationally

  • Prepare and distribute quality IT reports

  • Produce statistics. Information, records that are easily accessible

Compliance

  • Ensure Cyber Security Standards are kept

  • To ensure that if a vulnerability alert occurs that it is actioned ASAP

  • To ensure that all security alerts are reported to the IT Manager

General Administration

  • Compliance and present documents in a complete and professional manner

  • Record information in a systematic manner for easy access

  • Distribute documents as requested by management

  • Ensure that all record keeping is accurate and up to date

Information Systems

  • Facilitate all IT related problems identified by staff by evaluating the nature of the problem and discussing same with the IT manager for progress and resolutions


REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT

Experience

2 years’ experience in IT Support environment.

Required Skills

  • Administration skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Sound knowledge of computer systems and software packages

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Leadership and organisational skills
