DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:
Customer Care
Serving customers and fellow employees with respect, understanding and commitment to achieve service excellence
Responding courteously and immediately to customer queries and requests
Ensuring that the quality rendered is of the highest standard at all times and to appreciate that work of substandard quality is unacceptable
Operations
Ensure that refrigerated containers are repaired as per standard operating procedures
Receive job cards from reefer supervisor / controller
Determine materials / consumables that are required to complete the repairs
Carry out authorized repairs, major / minor mechanical damages
Ensure that a PTI is run in accordance with customer requirements to ensure all mechanical components are in working order
Ensure that mechanical callouts are done as per standard operating procedures
Ensure that all repair activities are done in compliance with the OHS Act
Ensure that completed Jobs are QC passed prior to sign-off
Provide immediate notification of all malfunctions with the Depot Management system to the Operations Manager and log events as instructed
REQUIREMENTS
We invite applications from candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:
Qualification/s:
Matric.
N4 / N5 Trade or Diploma in electrical or refrigeration and accreditation on equipment
Experience:
3 years field experience in refrigeration repairs
Good knowledge of the make-up of reefers, depot operations, as well as customer requirements
Required Skills:
Ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to work under pressure
Good communication skills
A valid driver's license
