DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:
Assist with routine servicing, fault finding, and minor repairs on reefer units
Conduct temperature checks, inspections, and basic diagnostics
Support senior technicians during repairs and breakdowns
Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
Maintain good housekeeping in the workshop and work areas
Carry out authorised repairs, major / minor mechanical damages
Ensure that a PTI is run in accordance with customer requirements to ensure all mechanical components are in working order.
Ensure that mechanical callouts are done as per standard operating procedures
Ensure that all repair activities are done in compliance with the OHS Act
Ensure that completed Jobs are QC passed prior to sign-off
REQUIREMENTS
We invite applications from candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:
Qualification/s:
Matric
Basic qualification or training in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical fields
Valid driver’s licence
Experience:
1–3 years’ experience working with reefer units or refrigeration equipment
Required skills:
Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns
Willingness to work shifts, standby, or overtime when required
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
